Excerpts from the Expedition

The Following are excerpts from Maligaant's personal journal:

Day 4: Seer's Temple 

[Excerpt from page 9: The Seer's Temple complex is a truly massive structure! The external portion appears only approachable via a series of walkways over a deep cavernous gorge, supported completely by stone columns extending down into the depths. The temple  looked to be carved out of the very mountainside. Only Seers were allowed to enter the temple itself]

Day 4: Menrah

[Excerpt from page 11: Menrah, an old Seer. We spent maybe 4 hours with her as she examined each of us very closely. She didn't appear to be blind but used her hands to trace out the shape of our faces and seemed very interested in our paws. In all the time we spent with her she uttered no words except when staring into our faces, "Beware the betrayer." is what she uttered as she looked into my eyes.  Strange. And then when examining Arvis, "Your life or his?"
To Zan, "Sealed in sand your fate is." To Kael, "Your fate shall be the same as his" as she looked into Kael's eyes. She seemed intently focused on the air around each of us waving her hands as if through smoke, occasionally reaching into a leather pouch on her side and tossing powder around us.]

Day 6: A Corpse Eater

[Excerpt from page 13:  A Corpse Eater.  These mostly nocturnal beasts seem to feed on any dead flesh even consuming bones. Though they move very slowly while lurking about in search of a meal we were surprised at their bursts of speed, able to cover 20-30 meters in seconds!  

Day 4: Bhauldog

[Excerpt from page 13: Bhauldog, the temple Prophet! He seems to evoke more fear from the people than anyone or anything here.  I'm not certain who truly commands these people: Thundrarg their warrior chief or Bhauldog. When he exited the temple NO ONE spoke! NO ONE moved! He has an air of malevolence about him so thick it even makes US partially avert our eyes. His voice is nearly as deep as a Togorians and he stands taller than any of his people, easily a full 2 meters.  There is a bone-like growth from the right side of his face, fully covering most of his skull, right eye down to his jawbone. He also appears to have bone-like horns growing from his skull. What is causing this alteration is unclear.]
