Cornered & Outnumbered

Krasp had quickly scouted the approaching blips and returned. The incoming blips were indeed not Triumvirate military and instead appeared to be well-armed mercenaries who somehow seemed to be tracking the squad's IFF signals.  Maligaant had ordered the entire squad to go dark (turning off their IFFs & switching to private internal comms) while Krasp and Jerex worked at laying out a nice welcome for their incoming guests.

Rerrick & Mal organized the debris in the room as cover for the injured.  When Krasp and Jerex returned they worked at sealing up the door. The room of this wreck they had barricaded themselves into was one of several cargo bays. The primary access, a set of large doors in the floor, was no longer accessible,  due to the ships current half-buried status, leaving the only entrance/exit the doorway into the ship's primary corridor (which ran the length of the ship).

With the doors now sealed shut they moved into position and waited.  It wasn't long before 3 very loud explosions reverberated through the ship.  Krasp and Jerex snarled, obviously happy at the sound of their welcome being warmly accepted.  Slowly the concussive echoes were replaced with silence.  They listened, ears perked, for any sound of approaching footsteps. The minutes ticked by with nothing, had the traps done all the work?  Krasp looked at Mal who simply held up his paw, motioning for them to wait. It was then that they heard it, footsteps outside the sealed door.

The crackle of coms in the helmets was clear to each of the Togorians, the visitor's voices were muffled inside what sounded like helmets. They were obviously discussing their plan of action.  With hand signals, Mal alerted the other three to be prepared for a breaching charge.  He had only just finished when to his surprise one of the visitors began (what sounded like) kicking in the door.
The door slammed inward breaking free and slamming to the cargo bay floor.  As it did the room lit up with bolts from rifles, hammering into the debris and walls for several seconds before subsiding.  Two fully armored mercenaries then burst into the bay with their rifles ready.  Maligaant lept into them, both his Sc'raths bursting through each man's helmet visor as he lifted them off their feet carrying them fully out of the doorway with his momentum. His squad brothers following him filling the hallway with the sound of their roars as a hellfire of blaster bolts opened up again.
