Caged

Apparently when Jarvis last visited and left Pesmenben III he had smuggled a rather valuable and important item off world.  Breaking more than a few laws and seriously upsetting several rather important officials. 

This fact had not escaped the authorities and they were very keen on getting the item back as well dispensing some serious justice. 

Maligaant held nothing back in his 'interviews' and freely told them everything he could. Told them of his chance meeting with the Gamorrean on Togoria and the stories he told Mal and the drinks they'd shared. Of the invitation to come here and join up.  Maligaant explained about his search for transport that he could afford  and of finding Jarvis.  Of the trip from his homeworld to here and left nothing out. 

Even though he cooperated fully he was kept in a detention cell and questioned for 2 days before they told him he was free to go, supposedly having checked his credentials and story. Even at that they were fairly direct in letting Maligaant know that Arc Perfuro, the Gamorrean he'd met back on Togoria, had played more than a small part in his release, though what part that was nobody was saying.

A naval officer with a squad of men escorted him into the hanger bay and onto a waiting shuttle.  As he boarded the shuttle the officer growled at him, "Don't forget these." and handed him his pack and data pad saying, “Might wanna be careful the company you keep from now on."

Maligaant took his seat and wondered how long he might have been in that cell if not for the Gamorrean.  He was definitely gonna have to find a way to thank him.  

The shuttle's engines began to hum as the shuttle lifted off and left the hangar bay heading for the planet.  Finally, he would set foot on the Capitol! Finally he would join the Academy!
